I thought the red signage on the turn locks was enough for me to know whether in use.

And the TV's, won't that result in people sitting much longer and cause occupancy issues, long wait times?

So PVG now has 2 x Express Security Channels for VIP, First, Business Class Priority - Channel 12 which is imm in font of APEC line and to right of 'Foreigner' immig channels - but also further to your right channel 22 is also VIP, First, Business Class Priority - this is imm in front of e-gates which are almost sole domain of Chinese Nationals and this channel can sometimes be empty as opposed to 12 which is catchall for foreigners - maybe worth your sussing out if you detest waiting in any line as I do.
