I am hoping to jag 2 x J domestic FF seats for mid December next year. If I knew when they would be released, I'd be on the computer waiting.

Where to and what date(s)? I have EF and happy to give you a heads-up. Just PM me. I know you'll want an A330. There's various U availability showing to 14/12/20 at present.

I'm looking at 15/12/2020. I have EF as well, thank you for your kind offer. And you are correct, I definitely need an A330. Looking at 08/12/2020, my only option is QF 783 which is late. QF 777 and QF 779 are both B737 which won't work for me. QF 775 is too early and QF9 is an A330 but has no FF seats. I'm hoping that the 15/12 may have slightly different options. I would jump at QF 777 or QF 779 if either was an A330 and had FF availability. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for midnight GMT.

Ah-ha Mel-PER. QF777 on 14 Dec (the last day EF is showing QF flights info) is a A332 with 2U. It's also a A332 on 11 Dec and showing 4U.

Are you aware that EF under 'Flight Availability' for some reason does not show U these days (it does show X)? You need to check under 'Awards & Upgrades'.

I waited patiently until 12 midnight GMT and on the dot, the 15/12/2020 came up. Unfortunately, no A330 options which suited us other than QF 783 which leaves MEL at 20:30.
Breaking the habits of a lifetime, my husband actually had a good idea. He normally asks on the day of departure, "where are we off to today?" We will take a day room at the Parkroyal and try to have a nap in the afternoon. He's very good and afternoon napping, but I never do.
Seems that our problem is solved.
