Hello, I was looking at purchasing an iPhone 11 256GB which retails for $1449 from the apple store. Qantas store current have 20% off points if you part or full pay for the iPhone with your qantas points. I have enough points but know that using the full amount would not be worth wasting the points. Question : is it worth using part points while it is 20% off points knowing that new iPhones never go on special? Example use 81840points plus pay $831.25 and save 50400 points.

Even with the 20% off this still seems a poor value way to use points. 80k points for a $600 cash saving.

Just check with the 20% off how far you can wind the points down and the dollars up.

I purchased one of those new watches, not Iwatch and it cost 8000 points + $260 in dollars, Qantas could access the one I wanted, the ones I saw in JB and co were similar but not the exact model and prices were around $279 to $299
