First the BALPA union strikes more or less shutting down LHR T5 which BA operate out of - although if you were travelling on other airlines you could have considered that a good day, you would have had a better chance of taking off and landing on time without delays ......

Next, a protest due to happen around 3.30am tomorrow morning regarding climate change, however I believe it may not happen as there's been so much publicity about it already, perhaps that is all they were after?

A few people have already been arrested ....... Five arrested over Heathrow drone protest plan

I don't really see how this helps their cause, but hey ho.

However, interesting that the possible sentence for saying you might do something disruptive in the future could potentially be more severe than murdering a number of people.

In relation to using drones at a climate protest at the airport, wouldn't this do more climate harm than good as planes sit on taxiways burning extra fuel waiting for the drones to disappear? Not to mention the obvious climate damage if one were to be sucked into an engine and a plane went down.

You are, perhaps, assuming some degree of rationality amongst those 'against' or even that that is indeed their issue. Pure bloody-mindedness / anachy send to be the motivation of many of this lot, with cause du jour just a cover.
