So apparently protesters had a go at Mong Kok last night. The way I found out about it was I heard it on the news this morning.
Spoke with my Dad back in Australia a short while ago and he was saying how the AU news was all like "Another night of bloody violence in Hong Kong". Meanwhile at about the same time that was happening I was sitting back peacefully drinking a beer at a dim sum place on temple st.
The one change I had to make to anything on this trip was I couldn't stop at Kowloon station yesterday, and all that meant was I had to go into Hong Kong station and change onto the Tsuen Wan line and take a train from there into Tsim Sha Tsui. Hardly a major inconvenience.
Now I wasn't going to be stupid and try to find protesters, but everything else seems to be pretty normal.
The one place that it was obvious protesters had been through was Tung Chung as a few ticket machines where broken.
So the $64,000 question, would I bring my wife and kids here right now? Yes I would!
