Qantas Restaurants is back!

I received 400 Quandoo points for signing up. From what I recall of reading that 1000 points equals $15 credit...

Not sure if I'm able to convert them to QFF points.

I don't think you'll be able to convert those to Qantas points. Quandoo points are a separate currency.

Need to book through the Qantas Restaurants portal to get Qantas points.

Better than nothing I suppose (and there is no competition from VA in this space either).
Agree with this, frankly sometimes this forum seems like a pack of whingers. Its only a small amount of points but then its minimal effort too, I'll take the points any way they come and sometimes even small points are useful (e.g. in keeping expiry dates at bay).

I'm still unsure about the availability. Some samples are Melbourne CBD has 194 selections (yes that is the Batman grid only)....I thought it listed every eatery possible.

I'm from Moonee Ponds in Melbourne and looking at that suburb and Essendon/Ascot Vale which are north/south suburbs (didn't look at east west suburbs) I have 39 options. Qantas retaurants would have had about 15-20 at most for those three suburbs. Dimmi was probably a little less than the 39.

Perhaps some areas are affected more than others but Melbourne seems to be an improvement.

Unless I'm searching incorrectly, Brisbane CBD options are just a couple of average places. You can however choose from many Coffee Clubs in the suburbs.

Very few restaurants seem to be available via this booking service. So great in theory, but dismall offerings compared to Dimni.
Agreed. Hardly any restaurants in Sydney CBD.

Also you have to do it through Qantas website first, so no point downloading the actual booking platforms app. Why wouldn't they just has you to sign-up to the booking website and enter your QFF number.

That's what Virgin Australia have done with Ola...

I must have a different website to everybody else?? In Sydney CBD I see 89 offering with a pretty good range of cuisine and star rating.

To the point regarding having to go via QFF website I agree, it would be just as easier use the site direct and just enter QFF on booking.

There's something different for sure! Attached is what I see when I have that location in my view and say 'search this area..... 5 restaurants in the city.

So we made a booking in Adelaide as soon as this launched, let's see if the points arrive or evaporate. I'm back on my home ground in Hampstead, London, in a few weeks and while there's ten restaurants available for points they are at the pricier end, which for Hampstead is saying something.

I didn't use the phone but a screen grab from my search selection.
You're right - when I do a text search for "Sydney CBD" it says "89 restaurants" same as you. However when I then go to view the map it loses half the restaurants depending on your level of zoom. It appears the site displays restaurants based on your level of zoom so if you can visually see the whole Sydney CBD it shows only 5-8 restaurants, however if you zoom in to coughle Bay half a dozen new restaurants appear at the new level of zoom which is annoying.

Seems you're better off doing the text search first, and not using the map as you have to be very specific with your location to get any results.

Anyone else had an issue with points crediting? I made a booking for 4 on the 16th and still haven't received the points... In T&C's it claims u to 7 days.

Points credited today for a booking on 16 August...

Has anyone worked out if there is a way to get points without booking online. We go to a cafe regularly that is on this list and it would be good not to have to book online

ADL seems to have a good number of restaurants listed.

Made a booked for early Oct. Hopefully points through in 2 weeks as other have reported.
