I'm not often on the TigerAir site, and I wonder if it just me, but is there something a bit strange about this selection of Titles

So does the gender reference refer to the gender you identify as? Or the gender of your patients?
So, so wrong. Do they, (Tiger) treat people differently according to gender?

Well, that's just weird. Unless for religious reasons they want to choose same sex assistance ... unless someone is almost dead presumably

It's because the system needs a gender, and this is obvious with other titles. When I check in on VA I always get a drop down box to select my gender. They're just eliminating a step

With OLCI and electronic BPs, either a male or female pax can fly if the saluattaion is just Dr....

Either way, VA always asks for my gender for OLCI. So they obviously want to know the gender of pax travelling.

Info collected for the purpose of allocating seat next to any UMs?

After visiting coughet-simoncabaret.com in coughet a few years back, not sure how collecting that information would be 1. Relevant 2. Help in Identification of passenger. ;)

Curious. Dr. Google tells me Tiger is subsiding of Virgin, something i didn't know :) Which makes me wonder if they bought the cheapest version of booking s/w they could, allowing little/no tailoring or if it tries to derive gender from 'title'. Which then makes me wonder if scrolling down gets you anything else, or if we all have to be Mr/Mrs or a Doctor?

Pity, leaves no room for ...
Field Marshall (male) / Field Marshall (female)
MRH (male) / MRH (female) / MRH (disowned by parents)
Head Barrista (male) / Head Barrista (female)
POTUS (male) / POTUS (female) / POTUS (making flying great again)
CEO (male) ... are there enough to warrant any more here??
X-Man / X-Woman / X-gender-non-specific

Fortunately, not being a Doctor (male), I don't have to grapple with the vagaries of your day-to-day low-end booking systems.

I have seen the US airlines provide long lists of titles including military ranks.

This has relevance though, in that service members get benefits such as priority boarding, baggage and lounge access in the US, on most carriers.
