I picked this up on a tweet from one of the FF bloggers - tried a few sample searches and it definitely works (e.g. SYD-FRA) will show EY (and other airlines) flights. great news since the relaxation of routing rules.

How about EY F?

Yep - picked it up from TPG, and last weekend did a multi city 6 leg booking for two on EY, IB, and QR all in J from SIN-AUH-MAD-LISxMAD-FCOxFCO-DOH-SIN for 180K points and about US$180.

I’m looking at an AA redemption booking flying EY SYD AUH AMM in J or F with a layover in AUH of 11 hours. Are award txt pax accommodated during this layover by EY? I can find out that chauffeur service is not available but can’t seem to find this on EY or anywhere else.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

No

Just received an email letting me know 180,000 AA miles were used to book two on EY at the pointy end. I like the fact that they do the notification.

EY from Australia-USA would still be 2 awards yeah?

So only option through the middle east at a 'reasonable' rate would be EK via QFF points? (i.e. QR 2 awards on AA also?)

No - AA now allows Australia - Europe via Middle East as one award - on all supported airlines (i.e. OW and EY). At the moment EY has pretty good availability in J and F. (In fact in doing some sample searches AA seems to allow other destinations via the ME as one award; (e.g. Africa, but not US and Canada)

Can confirm this, have recently booked multi city trip in J from SIN-AUH-LIS-FCO-PER thru AA and using EY, IB and QR. About to book SIN-LON return in late September also in J, also on EY. Due to the late decision/school holidays, they are the only seats I can get for this trip on any airline. Just need to get a PER-SIN return to start the journey.

Indeed. I think you meant EY - for the dummy booking I'm sitting on SIN-LHR return, the fees are US$332.20.

Sorry. I should have been more clear. I did mean EK. I was referring to the post from diningdecadence that taxes on EK would be high, despite being an alternative to EY and that it is two awards not one on the routing suggested.

Any experiences with baggage being checked through when the AA award has a QF coonection eg Bne to Syd to Auh. All one PNR.
