My iPhone app told me this morning my flight had commenced boarding. Trouble is I'm on the corresponding flight number *tomorrow*. Has anyone had spurious messages? I haven't updated to version 3.31.1 yet whose release note does mention a bug fix that 'affects certain users'. Maybe it's that bug?

QF confirmed I'm definitely on tomorrow's flight and the only difference with this itinerary is that it was paid in part with an Amex travel credit.

Side note: I had to wait a few seconds for my call to be answered (quelle horreur!) .... the part in the recording that says "welcome to Qantas" sounds like someone answering the call.

Often when I change flights from an original itinerary, the QF App (and other travel apps) will still think I'm on the originally booked flight. Has happened to me regularly over a couple of years so don't think it's new version related.

But never happened at random. Always what I'd call a 'residual' booking.

Oh definitely, I've received boarding messages from original flights before itinerary changes but not one from a flight I've never been booked on.

No, never had that occur.
Phantom hotel bookings on the other hand...

Have a past flight from 7th Sept loitering on my app home page and booking page that won’t go away. And recurring message that boarding has now closed. Updated app, deleted, reinstalled, and it’s still hanging around like that annoying aunt/uncle at 9pm on Christmas day. Annoying, but like a noisy neighbour, learning to live & ignore it.
