Gold Elite Renewal

Hi everyone,

I'm a newly minted Gold Elite thanks to a status challenge I recently completed. On my app it says that I'll need a further 12 nights in order to renew Gold Elite. I was under the understanding that I would keep my Gold Elite until the end of 2019 have I got this horribly wrong? Any advice is welcome. Thanks.

With a status challenge you may have gotten it to 2020 ..do you have the original email they sent you regarding the status challenge. They are usually explicit there saying how long you get the status for. But yes Status should be good till end of Feb 2019 if not.

Status challenge was discussed over the phone, no emails. I did message SPG and they have confirmed I will have status until JAN 2020

ahh okay it was done with 'old' SPG and not Marriott ..your rolling then .. ..now try and get to Platinum!

Same here, did plat challenge and its valid till Jan 2020, and I need 14 nights to renew

Yeah I was shocked when it said only 12 to renew. Very happy!!

Just checked on the new app and it says that I now need 25 nights to renew gold. I'm aware that this has always been the case however on the old app it said only 12. Wondering if yours still has a 14 night renewal for Plat?

I did the Plat challenge over Dec/Jan , initially it showed less days to renew... but now it shows 50 days to renew Plat so keep an eye on the app it could change.

I did the Plat challenge 2 years ago and is about to expire. I called to ask when its said to expire, they checked and said Jan19. The email I received said Feb19. Its now Feb, and I still have Platinum so I guess the email > what the call said.
