Status match for Aussies

My Air NZ Gold came through today. I am essentially a QF man with LTG and QP until end Nov 2019, so travel with Qantas is not really needed until December 2018. I have a domestic flight next week and a trip to ADL and WYA in October so will give Air NZ a try across the Tasman(notwithstanding a couple of upgrade vouchers which come with the promotion). 450 status credits in 6 months is challenging unless flying business and long haul.

Applied as QF plat on Wed 13th (after just joining Airpoints ); auto response, then:

Mine through too, today.
Applied 10 Sep asking to match my QR Platinum.
Good to know they are still trickling through. Applied on 11/9 as VA Platinum, no response yet however.

Suspect as this offer got more coverage, the queue to process grew. Hopefully that's the case. However, not a great first impression with Air NZ when they say they'll get back to you within three business days and then don't.

LTG and currently QFP. Applied and came through after ~3 days. Already booked MEL-AKL-SFO-LAS return with AirNZ which should see me get pretty close to the 450 to get full gold and used the short haul upgrades on the MEL-AKL / AKL-MEL leg + leverage the 30% upweight to bid for upgrades on the AKL-SFO / SFO-AKL legs. Lets see how we go!

Offer now closed. Hoping it would stay for a little while as I couldn't use it till beginning of May.

- Trip completed. Secured both short haul upgrades and enjoyed the service and product on their 777. My oneup upgrade AKL-SFO was accepted the day of the flight. The quirks on the flight (whimsical toilet decorations / airbird eyemask / striped socks) are so very Kiwi. My oneup SFO-AKL wasn't successful (Friday & J was full) and the downside here is the SFO United Lounge is a dreary long room in the basement with minimal food & beverage. Sadly unless you are J you don't get access to the Polaris Lounge. Premium seating on the 777, my only wish was the foot support wasn't so hard or ill-suited for those over 6'. When down your knees are forced up and when up its edges dig into your calves. Now need one more return flight before March to secure Gold for another year.

Just wanted to ask. I have an up oncoming flight with Singapore and I have Gold Status with Air New Zealand through the status match. Does that mean I’m allowed an extra 20kg worth of luggage if I just flash my digital card at the check-in counter?

Attach your NZ number to the booking and you won't even need to show the digital card.

Have used it on NH Y recently and got full NZ*G benefits inc extra luggage and lounge access. They even moved me to an earlier flight for free from a deep discount Y fare!
