Anyone else noticing how slow points and SCs are crediting to VA when flying NZ since the "break-up"? Had NZ flights credit within 2 days prior to the break-up announcement and now they're taking at least a week! Had a flight with NZ a week ago and nothing...

VA posting VA flights has slowed down. Noticed it with new app but unsure if was present prior. I don’t think it’s just NZ flights.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

My recent VA flights posted within 3 days. However, I'm still waiting for the NZ flights and it's approaching the 2 week mark...

I think the system as a whole has slowed down over the last 6 months, I've had to start raising a missing points claim almost each month.

One particularly is causing some grief.. flew LIS-ATL-SFO June 6; and OAK-SLC-ATL-LIS June 19 on DL metal. The domestic flights posted almost immediately, while the international legs (LIS-ATL and ATL-LIS) have so far not been credited. Once these land I'll finally achieve WP for the first time, so I'm anxiously waiting for them to show up. However, had a reply a few days ago from VA support asking for my ticket - and boarding pass !!
I checked in at the airport and the boarding pass was a piece of paper, of course it got tossed within minutes of touchdown. I'm also wondering - why they need this? Can they not determine the flight was completed based on the posting of the domestic legs? Hoping this gets resolved asap... due to fly again in a few weeks.

I'm a programmer, and part of me seriously wants to take a job with VA just to get in there and refactor what I can only imagine is a ton of disjointed spaghetti code

Well, the problem with flying on partner airlines is that VA is reliant on what the partner tells them. After all, Velocity want to get paid for the points that they give to you

While it's easy to think about an airlines as one system, there are lots of systems, and its in the integrations where the troubles reside.

The Velocity system (which uses a system called Krane) is completely separate to the booking system (which is Sabre).

I always keep my paper boarding pass until my points have posted.
