Retaining Platinum ...

So it looks like I will be maintaining platinum within the month which means I would have retained within 4 months and 2 days. (Only one long-haul flight was business class with everything else in economy.)
Rather "annoying" that when I advanced booked all my trips I had calculated it to take practically all year to retain plus knowing one or two extra would get booked as a buffer. However, 2 unexpected long-haul trips have/will be taken in quick succession.

How quickly have others retained platinum?

Partner had enough status credits within 2 months courtesy of J trip to USA, 4 legs in Delta domestic F, and family pooling. Just took another 6 months to get the eligible sectors.

As I now do both VFF and QFF, it takes all year. I just keep an eye out for decent sales or DSC offers.

Back when Velocity had the earn SC on award promotion, SWMBO and my trip in Z to Perth gave quite a late May JumpStart of 320 SC's.

That and a few other upgrades had me requalify in 9 weeks.

I just retained Platinum this week having upgraded from Gold to Platinum at the end of May, so 6 weeks (long haul business to LAX on double SC's got me there).

Review date was late May. Will retain after today's flight, so about 7 weeks, all domestic and will keep me at WP to May 2020.

3 months last year. J class to Hawaii helped with that and was then able to gift SG within 9 months. This year I will retail WP in 5 months all on domestic flight.

Would ne great if VFF would provide LTG status to keep us earning throughout the year.

I did 5 months last year, and was able to gift WP 6 months after

this year i think i should be able to do it in about 4-5 months again
