Didn't think this site was my thing, let's just say people here seem to value the finer things in life!

I'm in the category of preferring a low cost budget airline that's half the cost rather than a fancy airline with some points that don't add up to anywhere near the extra cost of that flight

That said, points let you do some spontaneous things, so I'm curious!

Welcome daglar.

I'm sure you'll find many people here with tips/tricks/tactics to amass a large pool of points that may often make the cost of flying 'fancy airlines' quite economical.

This forum isn't just about flying premium cabins. Some of us get enjoyment out of flying economy. ;)

Welcome aboard too @daglar. The best thing I get from the site is the ideas and opportunities other people provide, which let you decide on the spur of the moment, "let's go to xx_xx"

See you around the boards

I have to admit I have to weigh up the cost v. benefit all the time due to limited means and no juicy employer benefits. Nevertheless I have learnt some good things and I have made myself a goal of earning enough FF points to take myself, Mr A and Miss A round the world in business class. It will take me a few years but I regard point earning as my hobby and I would never have even contemplated being able to do it without the great advice on this site. I just hope the points value does not get "enhanced" (ie devalue) before I get enough points.

Welcome to AFF Enjoy
