Brisbane VA Cafe Lounge

Got offered to go to the Virgin Lounge Cafe in Brisbane this morning. One staff member, no flight assistance and only 3 travellers here atm compared with the 300 in the main lounge. A limited selection of cold buffet items and snacks.

Next to gate 50 fyi.

I'm surprised that's still open. From recollection created during BNE VA lounge Mk1 days, when the BNE facility was half-the-size and then during renovations, basically a quarter of the size. I just assumed they completely shut it down.

its open most monday mornings, or when ever the main lounge is overcrowded.

I have wondered past that lounge on numerous occasions but it is generally not open when I am flying. Interesting to see inside...

It is an 'overflow' lounge they call it. Like upstairs in Sydney. Open Monday mornings and Friday evenings. And apparently an odd time here and there.

Check it out if you have the chance guys and girls.

Side note. No toilets or showers aswell.

Just joined VFF the Lounge not so long ago, so this niche spot would be a good place to be, if its open when I pass through.
Will keep an eye out for it, wasn't sure something like this was there.
Passed by there a few months ago, saw something of an annex, the staff told me it wasn't the lounge, and that the lounge was further away.
Saw a lot of people in high vis jackets in that niche, thought it was only something for VA staff as a rest spot.
Its something of an alcove, on the left hand side of arrival gates eh?
