FIJI airways APW - NAN

I will keep this fairly short however is a quick overview and some pictures.

After 5 Nights in Samoa it was time to head back to Brisbane. I decided to mix things up a little bit and spend a night at Fiji on the way home!

This was my first trip on Fiji Airways.

I placed a bid for 200 tala ($112 aud) for an upgrade. Around 3 days prior I received an email that my ‘bula bid’ had been successfull. This was only 10 talla above the minimum bid of 180wst. I was pleasantly surprised that it was approved.

The business cabin was half full 4 / 8 and economy also appeared to be lightly loaded.

The service given by the J flight attendant was excellent, even offering a second round of drinks prior to departure. Inflight was the same. There was no hiding behind the curtain like I have sometimes experienced on other airlines.

I've been to Apia (once) and to Fiji (many times). The airport building looks more impressive than I remember. Is there a lounge?

I highly recommend Samoa. Still quite traditional and not touristy at all. Would recommend staying somewhere like Taufua beach fales for a few nights amazing location and very cheap.

Haha your right it is missing!

It’s a new terminal. I don’t think it’s quite finished yet as the night we arrived they were using a temporary shed for arrivals. But when we flew out it was from the brand new departures area.

No lounge for any airlines from what I could see.

Do you have any photos of row 1 or can you comment on the leg room. I am always wary of how close the bulk head can be.

We flew home to Sydney in Fiji business class in April. The lounge at Nadi was very nice, spacious, quiet and very pleasant service. Nice food options I thought.
There were 8 seats on our flight, they recline but did not lie flat. Service was good by the FA, food was ok.
