I wanted to keep my QF Platinum status for another year so took advantage of the double status credits offer in January to book something, tiring trip however it earned 600 SC which was pretty good. The food was varied on each leg, and thought I would share. I flew back from Adelaide to Sydney with Virgin as I had points to use up and their business offering was not too bad.

Standard economy meal Sydney to Adelaide, strange the fresh milk is now gone and using the UHT.

adel to bne.JPGThis is the Adelaide to Brisbane meal, 12pm Qantas link 717, it was this or soup and no other sides.
bne to auckland entree.JPG This was Brisbane to Auckland Entree, Duck was quite nice
bne to auckland main.JPG Brisbane to Auckland Main plate, crumbed pork cutlet 645pm flight

Auckland to Brisbane flight breakfast, probably the worst I have ever had no flavour at all.
bne to adelaide.JPGThis was Brisbane to Adelaide 11am flight Qantaslink 717, as you can see the meal was much larger (a yogurt included also) than the ADL-BNE flight

This was the Adelaide to Sydney Virgin meal 3pm flight, the service from the Cabin Manager was excellent probably would say higher than that of qantas.

The flavor of all the meals was pretty good except for the Auckland-Brisbane so called omelette.

It was a solid two days on the weekend to do all this, however pretty good to get 600 SC knocked over.

Thanks for the TR. Would you have an idea what the cost per SC may have been, at all?

It worked out to be about $3 per SC, this does not include the Adelaide to Sydney Flight with Virgin as I used points to book that seat. I thought the value wasn't too bad.
