Anyone had any experiences they'd like to share regarding transiting from T1 to T5 at London Heathrow Airport?

Not done a 1-5 but did a T5-T3 recently. Was pretty painless and took about 20 mins to get from the plane at T5 to the CX lounge in T3. Just follow signs for flight connections and hop on the appropriate bus

This was at about noon; don't know how busy it gets at other times of the day

Again not spot on your question but last month ( after advice on this forum) did transfer from T5 to T4. Very easy to find bus from plane then approx 25 min bus ride between terminals & through to lounge. Security check straight forward.

I did a T4 (arr 0640) -T5 transfer in April 08. Took 1 hour 20 mins from plane at T4 to BA lounge in T5. The main hold ups were long walk to bus at T4, time for bus to get to T5, and time ?20mins to get throgh security at T5.

I did a T3-T5 transfer last week, was absolutely seamless, no problems at all.

Don't fret about it, it will all go down well, this is about the ONLY part of the T5 experince they have managed to handle well.
