Interlining luggage between BA and QF

I have just booked my daughter on flights from LHR to HBA via HKG. The first flight is a QF award on BA, the second a revenue fare on QF. She has about 3 and a half hours transit in HKG. I am wondering if her luggage will be checked through all the way, or does she need to collect it in HKG, clear immigration and then recheck in again?

BA was one of the airlines that went full force on the no through check across tickets policy when oneworld changed it. It is believed that the alliance policy was changed because of BA.

BA does not have the award-revenue exception that AA and QF have. They will not check through, and even if the agent wanted to, they couldn't. While BA uses the same check in system as QF, they have a custom 'overlay' that prevents most agents from accessing many of the options normally present in the system, which includes the ability to check through across PNRs.

Thanks for that. Just confirms my impression that BA are best avoided if possible...
I once had BA refuse to check me into a connecting flight on the same PNR, and that was before the policy changed. (It was BA>QF in DXB a few months after the BA/QF agreement died for the QF/EK deal)
