Thoughts on the best way back - long way or short

hey guys,
just thought i ask for thoughts on a trip we are planning back from Europe

we have 2 options to get back from Vienna
vie-dxb-akl-mel-adl (EK F,EK F,QF J,QF J)

vie-dxb-sin-mel-adl (EK F,EK F,QF F,QF J)

the first option has the ultra long DXB-AKL sector in EK F, then getting back to ADL in QF J
the 2nd option has DXB-SIN in EK F, then SIN-MEL in QF F as well, splitting the long journey into 2
we don't mind flying longer, but can't decide! Award flight, taxes and points similar

thoughts?

What aircraft is your AKL-MEL flight? IF B737 then definitely via SIN.

options available still for the A330 so that's a possibility

OK, then a fairly even choice.

Personally I would still go via SIN as you spend less time in QF J.
