Just watched the end of it on SkyNews. Good on Boof for stepping down on his terms and heartbreaking to have watched Bancroft and Smith. He’s stepping down at the end of the SA Test series.

Now Warner had landed in Sydney and had tweeted a message earlier that he won’t be making a statement
 
I honestly think we should just forfeit the 4th test match....CA of course wouldn't want this but I just can't see how the players can play tomorrow!
 
I’m getting cough from someone in the UK. Does anyone know a well known English cricketer who has cried on TV. I don’t think it’s something to be ashamed of

Jason Gillespie is by far the best option if his current contract allows it.

No doubt he won't even get a look in by CA because he doesn't tow the line like some of the others.

No way in hell? JLanger holds public respect for how he played the game. And has runs on the board coaching.
Not sure Gillespie coaching over in UK for a decade is the best option in the current climate....certainly no disrespect to Dizzy (and would not say no way in hell). Would be fine with Dizzy, but reckon JL is the best option to hit the ground running and address the 'culture', which is above the 'coaching' at this point

Sky news now reporting that there has been a change of mind by David Warmer (he’s probably heard of Lehmanns presser as well as knowing about Bancroft and Smith and we will be making a statement. Not going to bed yet...

No media management and a very clever pass off using the kids but still that doesn’t show similar mettle to the others.
 
JS called a press conf in 1.5 hours time
 
So James Sutherlands’ will be ~midnight BNE time, 1am SYD. Won’t be staying up for it. Giving credit to the 3 players (well, 2 of them) and Boof for their pressers + announcing new coach.

Langer is my hope.
