Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a driver in Playa Del Carmen? My searching is coming up with tour operators but I just want someone to drive me A to B and back again at weird hours. Any help or pointers greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)

I’d try the resort/hotel, most will have firms on the books. In other parts of Mexico the rates we were paying was around US $50/h for a suburban suv

In Quintana Roo we just hired a car and drove ourselves..... didn’t drive at night though.

good idea, I'll try the hotel. Thank you.

I drove myself around in that region, but resort/hotel door staff will have a brother or cousin who will help out I'm sure.

FWIW we hired a car last month from EasyWay (Cancun) and drove all over Yucatan, Quintana Roo, and Campeche clocking up >2,000kms .... it was great fun. Pretty sure you've seen my TR, the section on the driving is coming up.
Thanks heaps. My assistant has been contacting recommendations from TA, they're all coming back around the same price. I don't feel comfortable driving on my own in Mexico. I can't wait to read your TR, most likely in an airline lounge on this trip. I don't read books, I read TR's :)
