I just wanted to point out a few issues I’ve recently had with Etihad Guest in case other people are affected and aren’t aware they are missing miles.

These issues seem to have arisen since the website upgrade a few months ago. Credit to Slaussie who pointed out the Flybuys account number issue on Point Hacks.

1. No Flybuys Tier Miles posted since the Guest website upgrade- this appears to be because the Etihad account number is now errroneously listed as the linked Flybuys account number (cheers Slaussie)

2. Family Membership accounts not posting miles to Head of Family account, despite still being listed as a linked account (most recently affected me last week)

3. Upgraded Y flights credited as 0 Miles (although this has happened to me before the upgrade and is usually rectified with an email to the Missing Miles crew)

I’ve contacted Etihad Guest and await their reply.

I suspect some of those issues don't even scratch the surface. I am completely locked out of the Etihad Guest website - and the password reset doesn't work because they apparently failed to transfer my email address from the old site, and they can't phone me because they failed to transfer my phone number from the old site!

And yet, I am able to redeem points, connect flights to my EG account etc, all through their call centre. So they have the information available to fix it, they are just too lazy to do it until I phone them up and spend a bit of time listening to excruciating music while on hold...

Yes the site has never been the best and has somehow gotten even worse.

I just wanted to focus on points going missing which is completely unacceptable.

I don't know if it's connected with the Flybuys issues recently being reported, but I have not received even the Flybuy points for an Etihad trip booked and paid for through Flybuys Travel a few weeks ago, which I am now in the middle of.

There certainly seem to be some strange shenanigans going on at Etihad at the moment. Even the flights had some strangeness - no menu or amenity kit in Economy Class, which there were 6 months ago, and the food was quite ordinary. My lamb casserole had no lamb in it!
