Might be of interest to some who are frequent travellers and looking for an iPhone X.

Optus have some new plans which are reasonably expensive, but provide some value if you are looking for a new handset.

2 Plans available to business customers (probably equivalent available for retail as well). $149 per month (I told you it wasn't cheap), but for that, on a 24 month contract, you can get a 256Gb iPhone X.

Included - unlimited voice calls, unlimited SMS, unlimited international calls, unlimited international voice and SMS roaming in Optus Zone 1 countries (covers most of Europe, USA, popular Asian destinations). Basically for voice or SMS, use your phone anywhere for no extra cost.

The data is where things get interesting. Two options - 200Gb in Australia, and 1.5Gb per month International roaming - large data, but not much international, or the really interesting one, 50Gb in Australia, and 10Gb per month International roaming. If you are a moderate data user, and frequently OS in covered countries, that is a pretty good set up. Should allow tethering, so quite useful.

The Australian data will pool with other devices on the account - so a couple of these can set up a pretty substantial data allowance. I have put a foot in both camps - and elected for one of each - so gives 250Gb between the two for use at home, and 1.5Gb on one, and 10Gb on the other for use OS (so the 10Gb phone becomes the hot spot). If your trips span two billing months, you can use the data from each month on appropriate days, but nothing rolls over.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Am leaving Optus - they don't have great partners for roaming - my wife on Telstra roaming has better partners with wayyyyy better coverage and speed
YMMV
