Looks pristine, should be a bit of alright!

Was in good condition, but realistically should have been consumed 5 years ago. Still a very enjoyable wine but on the downward slope for sure.

Their Basket Press Shiraz, Grenache and Mataros are excellent quaffers

I've not had the aforementioned but Block 6 is astonishing and their sparkling shiraz is a force to be reckoned with...

Something a little different at the Old Cataract Hotel at Aswan on the Nile (where Agatha Christie wrote Death on the Nile) for a sunset drink.

Nothing special but not horrible.

This was not too bad - would make a reasonable el cheapo pizza/pasta wine.

A leg of lamb last night so I decided to try the Heirloom. Wow

This is a big wine. Lovely nose with a hint of liquorice. Everything works with this wine, it is great now but will live for many years to come.

My first post on this thread. I am developing my passion for buying and sampling nice wines (within my budget). Drooling over some of your postings and I love a good wine label.
We have just returned from a lovely 8 week holiday which included many wines consumed in Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, and a month long wine degustation in France.
I have never posted a photo on AFF and will have to learn so I can share a few of our tastings.

I found the 1997 Petaluma to be in great shape, though the 1998 is slightly better IMHO.

Yes, I had one of the 97 Petalumas from the Cellar Door sale a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it.

Just cracked a 98 pointer from JH - 2011 West Cape Howe 'King Billy 'Cab Sav. Wow, it's really good. Lovely ripe fruit, doesn't taste any of it's 6 years. Only have 1 more sadly but will tuck it away for a good while.
