Sheridan Bedding on Qantas First

Qantas have updated the bedding in First Class and I was fortunate enough to get a chance to try it out yesterday.
QANTAS FIRST CLASS CUSTOMERS SNUGGLE UP WITH SHERIDAN

First impressions are that it’s quite a big improvement on the previous bedding which whilst very comfortable did tend to get a little stuffy inflight. The sheeting is beautiful high thread count cotton sateen, memory foam mattress is 4cm thick and comfy and the new blankets are much cooler too. The color scheme blends beautifully with the cabin decor. The pillow menu wasn’t available on my flight so not sure if it’s being introduced later.

It looks much nicer than I expected. I do not really associated 'sheridan' as a brand with anything other than Myer clearance sales, so I thought it was an odd decision.

Not that Sheridan sounds very premium to me but a Feather & Down Pillow sounds fabulous so I'm sold!

Ooh I am a Sheridan 1000 TC junkie. Sheridan actually makes terrific products I think and I've used their products most of my adult life (graduating in thread count as my income rose). The pictures look terrific and will only make an already comfortable bed more comfortable. That said I DETEST feather pillows - they pack down and don't provide enough support. Give me a good old fashioned Tontine foam pillow any day.

I have a QF93 MEL-LAX sector in F coming up at the beginning of November so I'll have a chance to try the new kit then.

feathers all the way - or preferably goose down. I agree they pack down, so you use two - so soft to sink into and I reckon better for your neck.

Is this for a "companion" sale or just out right ?
ie. is this fare valid if booking for just one pax ?

Valid for one...
companion is $9,000 per person

As the good folk here would say, FF Points plus co-payment are a much friendlier way to get to Europe.
And I think I'd prefer that but hey not everyone has the chance to get the award seats even if the earning of points is available to all via new credit cards....

There are some interesting quirks in the points spending game to take advantage of feather and down on Emirates....

Since when is Sheridan not a premium brand? Some of their items are very good and of high quality.

Yup I just need to enter my bedroom for free

No way I'm spending tens of thousands on a premium flight and then coming home sleeping on Kmart bed sheets

The only good Sheridan product I've seen now are the hotel quality ones. Their products have gone downhill since manufacturing in China many years ago. Would love to see some CK ones make an appearance!

The pillow menu was in operation on QF10 yesterday. It's not like a paper menu kind of menu and no one offered it to me on either leg, but they produce them on request. I selected the softer down and feather option and it was really nice LHR-DXB - very large and reasonably squashy. DXB-MEL, though, I swear had the old pillow cases, much rougher than the new Sheridan ones. But the blanket, etc. were all Sheridan.
