Woolworths gift card thread

just bought perfect gift cards and used to pay ATO today at auspost self serve
I purchased 4.
Havent done the redeem yet

Went straight to Australia post self serve.
Worked
Which Auspost self serve are you guys referring to? Are there any others you are aware of?

I already got the IP address limit error (after 9 claims). Seems a little unfair to households with one internet connection and multiple residents.
Same. Used mobile hotspot to get the last one.

When you buy the perfect gift cards is there a charge of $5.95 for each card?

Just got back from overseas and looking to buy some eGCs via cash rewards. Site is telling me 'we couldn't process your request. Error processing payment. Please try again later.'

Thought I’d report back. I called them this morning they said my Amex had expired (happened some time ago but sure I’ve bought WOW cards since. They removed all cards I had loaded and I tried again. Went through and I received my eGCs within a few hours. Now to see how stock levels are at my usual WOW stores.

The new Wollies software update is causing some issues....

My 2 local stores have been updated seemingly overnight. Went to buy some Only1 Cards today and the system called for an attendant approval. The attendant scanned their pass and got the message "not sufficient authority". Called out to a "manager" (typical angry old middle to late aged white Aus female) who said "nope, send them over here" and they subsequently refused to do it on an e-gift card (guess she must be a Woolworths Group Exec Level manager.... or not.)

Could be a real problem for me now. Luckily Big W has not had any such updates as yet

oh boy that was painful, bought 16 of them,
cute young checkout chick, i asked to do 4 at a time , she said ok, last batch, she must have had a mental blank, scanned 6 and paniced and mixed all together

we spent the next 30 mins with supervisor matching every card and recioet as she had double scanned 2 of them

that was messy :(

I had the attendant-approval issue yesterday where she had to get a senior's barcode. No eWISH problem though for me

Finally found some perfect gift cards today. Went to register them and got a message to say I'd maxed out my IP address and couldn't register more than 9.

looks like I'll have to try and find a public Wi-Fi place and do some more there.

Is there any difference between the only1 and the perfect gift card especially when making ATO payments
The perfect is an EFTPOS card and so cannot be used online (or in vending machines)
The perfect has a PIN but the only1 doesn't-you may need to sign using an only1 instore though it sometimes processes automatically

I've visited 6 woollies recently and it's one of the smallest ones that had the new software.
They only had one perfect gift card left which I took however the young guy scanned his I'd and too got the insufficient privileges message.
He had to go and get a other I'd. Thankfully he didn't care when I told him I was using egift card

Might be interesting times in the near future

For those buying heaps of cards. It's actually not limited to 9 or 10 per email address as I found out. It's per ip address.

Do what I did and turn your modem off and then on. It gets a new ip and you can use the same email address

OK now I'm really confused.
Just went to a woollies and noticed they had the new systems. And when I checked out a few cards. He total was $427.8

Asuming I was a system error.

I checked and all the gift cards the fee was $6.95. And the ones on the shelf too.......

Still trying to work out what's going on

All the ones I've bought in the past 24 hrs have vmbeen 5.95

Even the checkout girl said yeah they've always been that price.....

bought 6 about an hour ago for $5.95

Are they likely to re-stock during the promo period?

That's hard to say. But in previous promotions like this there has never been wide spread reporting of significant re-stocks.

In future I recommend you act as soon as the promotion starts.

So can I part pay my ATO bill at the post office using the Perfect Gift Card

I found 10 today but haven't yet put them through the register
