Woolworths gift card thread

It's not universal. I've purchased a total of 20 x Visa only cards over the last 2 days at my local. No issues.

Planning on buying at least 20 x theperfectgift cards tomorrow (in batches of 4).
Given that perfect gift cards are always the same price. You're obviously stocking up to take advantage of the $10 rebel card.

What are you guys planning to buy for 10 off. Out of curiosity

That's not the reason I'm stocking up. I'm stocking up because I'm about to cancel all of my Amex cards and sit out the 18 month waiting period. I'm trying to maximise my Amex points before I close all my cards just after small shop. The rebel offer is just a bonus. I was planning on buying at least 50 theperfectgiftcards and 50 visa only cards by the end of small shop anyway.

Ahh fair enough.

I've just ordered. 20k in wish gift cards. Hope I don't haven any problems with buying at woollies.

I'll try using them at self service Australia post. Which I've been told works for eftpos cards

You may well get lucky SOPOOR but a warning-there have been many reports of this not working

Bought some perfect eftpos gift cards this morning, went to redeem online and got an error:
"The card does not qualify for the selected promotion."
Hopefully it's just an early glitch

theperfectgift card rebel offer update - Purchased 4 x $100 theperfectgiftcards this morning. Lots in stock but no obvious promotions display. Visited www.claimyourbonus.com.au and registered all cards for the $10 rebel e-gift card. Received all 4 instantly. Note they come with a barcode so shouldn't be a drama using multiple ones at rebel.

PS. I must say I was surprised to see how many ways that this offer is open to fraudulent abuse. I wont go into detail and you wont have to think about it too hard to realise that your rebel gift cards are not safe. My advice is to redeem them online as soon as possible after buying your theperfectgiftcards. Once you have them I think the risk is minimised.

It's a pass for me....I did the up and go promo and got a pair of track pants for $30....but had to ring as they upped the prices just before I was ready!

Due to Aldi and 1year expiry on Rebel deal(I think)....time to get WOW egift for this.....

Have bought 9 perfects. No issues buying, spending the GCs immediately or activating the rebel vouchers. Nothing in the T&Cs that I can see about not being able to stack the vouchers in-store. Like Dr Ralph I have concerns about security before activation of voucher-not sure if they crosscheck the date of purchase when you come to activate

I bought 10 this morning, paid with a WOW GC, no problems. Registered and printed the Rebel ecards then off to the local Rebel store where I purchased some joggers that were on special.

Paid with the Rebel cards; no problem using all cards for the one transaction. The check out lady scanned the barcode and entered the expiry date and then onto the next one. Interestingly, Rebel don't enter the PIN that comes with the card.

I can confirm that you can get around the 10 perfectgiftcard limt for the $10 Rebel card by switching to another email address. So far have redeemed 20 x $10 Rebel cards.

Dr R, some of the Ozbargainers seem to have had their Rebel e-gift cards cancelled in the last promotion, when doing something similar (although that promotion's terms were a bit different):

Claim a $5 or $10 Rebel Voucher When You Purchase a 3x250ml or 6x250ml Pack of UP&GO or Weet-Bix GO

ps good luck surviving 18 months with no amex. If I did that I would have to stop reading the Amex statement credit thread here or I would become severely depressed....

I purchased 4.
Havent done the redeem yet

Went straight to Australia post self serve.
Worked

As a test used one at the counter. Also worked.

All good.
Will redeem the claim your buys later tonight

Good post Dr Ralph about the vouchers being easy to use in shop

Going to look for some more

I already got the IP address limit error (after 9 claims). Seems a little unfair to households with one internet connection and multiple residents.

Geez thanks for that post

I better be a bit careful that I don't buy too many as I don't have that many internet connections I have access to.
