I usually stay at the Rydges Hotel at the INT terminal and use the QF transfer to get to the DOM when flying QF. Unfortunately my next flight will be with JQ and my question is can I still use the transfer service if flying on JQ. I know I will have to change terminals when I get over to the domestic side.

Anyone have any ideas on this

Not according to this:

Passengers connecting to a flight not operated by Qantas or QantasLink should refer to the
Sydney Airport
website for further information on transfer options.

Rydges offers a free shuttle bus to the domestic terminals. Why not use that?

Thanks, but then there is this from QF website:

Transferring from T1 (International Airport) to T2 and T3 (Domestic Airports):
The Transfer Lounge is located on the Arrivals level of Sydney International Airport. After you clear customs, follow the signs located outside the terminal, entry is external to the main terminal within a short walk via a weather protected walkway. Recheck your baggage at the Seamless Transfer Check-in counters and then board the shuttle bus for the Domestic terminal. It operates from 6am to 12noon every 10 minutes and from 12noon until 9.00pm AEST every 20 minutes. The bus arrives at T3 at Gate 15. Check the screens for departure gate information. Passengers connecting to a flight not operated by Qantas or QantasLink should refer to the Sydney AirportThis link will open in a new window. website for further information on transfer options.

Please correct me if I am wrong but isn't JQ departing from T2 and while it doesn't mention T2 specificaly in the info it does say T2 in the heading

Rydges offers a free shuttle bus to the domestic terminals. Why not use that?

Cause the Rydges Bus only runs for 1 hour early in the morning and 2 hours late at night. In between you have to use the airport supplied bus and the hundreds of other people also using the Tbus.
Here is the time table supplied by Rydges.

Between 5am and 6am - Hop on our Rydges transfer bus
Between 6am and 9pm - Hop on the Sydney Airport Tbus which departs regularly

Between 9pm and 11pm - Hop on our Rydges transfer bus

I don't know any more than is posted on the website, but I read the header as covering "Passengers connecting to a flight not operated by Qantas or QantasLink", while the text below excludes them (from using the bus).
If that makes sense.

Yes I am confused by what I read, that is why I would like anyone who has "hands on experience"
