New Amex statement credits

For the 4 digit code, have you tried 9999, as per Only1? Just a thought....

That wont work.

The options available now are also inconsistent with their website which says

'To log in you will need:
- 16 digit card number
- 3 digit CVV number (on the back of card)
- expiry date'

This was always the way i checked the balance of these cards. But this option has now been removed.

Update: There may also be a problem with the cards themselves. I have just spent US $55 and US $108.43 on one $200 AUD card. Even on the best conversion when you include a 2.99% surcharge for a foreign credit card transaction I make the total more than $200 AUD.

Got 25% Velocity transfer offer from 1st to 10th Aug.

If only the offer was for SQ...

Maybe spend 10k on it and see if you can get more out of it :)
 
Mine were hacked recently. I've been liaising with Epay and they've blocked the affected cards (I offloaded the others on the ATO site). They're currently waiting for a refund from Visa then will send me replacement - reckon will be up to 45 days.
Good concept but won't be using these anymore.
Are these the same issuers as Visa1 and other GCs on the market? Many show 'Blackhawk Network' on their transaction screens for the initial load. Do we need to beware of other branded GCs? I can only imagine what a cluster**** it would be to reconcile across a large number of low value Visa1's.
 
mygift card 2u visa card update. Seems I was wrong about being able to exceed the value of the card. I had thought I was using a $200 card but it turns out it was a $500 card. There was no way to know as the value of the card is not written on the card and you can't check the value of the card yourself. So the cards are working properly. The problem of not being able to check the balance yourself remains.

Happened to speak to Amex cs today .was informed my explorer card was eligible for 5000 bonus points for adding another supplementary card holder .apparently it has to be in a fresh supplementary card holder . Doesn't matter if u have existing supplementary as long as u haven't reached ur max of 4 . She checked my esssntial and edge and the offer was on them as well as my partners 2 cards .
So must be a generic offer .
Said u can call and ask for her : - Nicole ( overseas call centre - late shift ) if the csr you get is unaware of the offer .
 
I called up and enquired.

My explorer card has 4 supp cards already which should be max. Got told the promo is 1 supp card for 5k bonus only.

So the guy said I was eligble for the bonus on my card. Not sure if he knew I had 4 already.

Went through the application and apparently the paperwork is on the way.
I then enquired I'd my plar edge was also eligible (only 1 supp card atm)
Apparently I was eligible to. Fingers crossed :)

They ran an equivalent offer 9 or so months ago.

Same here - I don't spend at any of the retailers on my offers list, so still waiting ...

No bonus points offer for adding a supplementary card either, I just rang them to check but no offer for me :(

Wow got 1 lot of bonus points about 3 days after applying on the phone. Very quick . And I haven't seen the card or received any communicationn.
Still waiting for the second lot though
