We are visiting Adelaide in September for 2 nights, staying in the CBD so looking for recommendations for dinner please !

Jolly's Boathouse, Rigoni's within walking distance. Mount Lofty House if you can drive 30 minutes.

Rigonis has nice Risotto. It used to be closed Saturday nights though. Mount Lofty House is lovely for a lunch as is Jolleys Boat House.

But no Indian?

Andre as in Masterchef.

In the city -- Gauchos , spaghetti western, George's on waymouth , press food and wine , la Bonne food and wine , africola, orana and Sean's kitchen .

Peel St in Peel Street and a couple of other in Peel St including Las Ramblas
Mayflower restaurant in the Mayfair hotel
Press is great - avoid Coal cellar in Hilton
Agree with Jolleys and Playford restaurant always good
Windy Point has great views and not an expensive taxi ride
If you want good old fashioned Chloe's at Norwood
Any other questions about Adelaide let us know

Plenty there to look at for a 2 night stay !!! thanks everyone ! We will be at the Hilton - last time we stayed there it was very good with Simon Bryant the chef in one restaurant and Cheong Liew in the other ! We also have stayed in the Mount Lofty House hotel - but all MANY moons ago ! That trip was to go to Coober Pedy. This time we are going to Kangaroo Island and staying at the Southern Lodge :D Now if you could please arrange to have some warm weather ...

Oh I'm very jealous - always wanted to go to the Southern Lodge but doubt that it's going to happen.

Unless the Coal Cellar in Hilton has changed avoid at all costs.

We're going on a family holiday to PVG .... starting from ADL;) Haven't been to ADL for 15+ years.

Thinking about staying at the Mayfair, and eating at Africola, Peel St, Jasmine, and Luigi (b'fast)

Thoughts...

hmm.. I checked out the menu (and the tarriff ) at Mt.Lofty and decided to eat in the bar….which was in hindsight a huge mistake…...

Lunch on the deck at Bridgewater Mill is excellent.

I quite like the coughtail bar at the top of the Mayfair Hotel too.

For something super casual, Good Life Pizza is amazing!

Just called / booked the Mayfair (very limited rooms), bugger, thinking I better book it all now.

How's this for efficiency..

Hotel booked - Mayfair

Restaurants booked - Orana, Jasmine, Luigi (b'fast) .... waiting for Peel St to open tomorrow and that will be sorted.

Will have time to squeeze in Iberia and Bridewater Mill for lunch. Thanks for all the tips!
