I have this flaky thing for an April booking. Booked an award redemption on Qantas - Adl - Mel on Q and Mel - Sin on Emirates. I decided that more FLounging was in order so rang up and changed the Adl - Mel flight to an earlier one via Qantas. I have received an ETicket for the earlier flight with Emirates connection from both Qantas and just received another one as a check through the Finnair site.

When I log into Emirates site BOTH domestic legs are still there. I called Emirates and they said if I dont take "their ticketed" flight - later one - then they may cancel the Mel - Sin one

But I no longer have that flight on a ticket. :( They told me to call Qantas, which I am doing. But they said "it should" be ok.

But will it?

Help please.....

If you are comfortable with PMing me the record locator I can pull up the PNR and have a look at what they've done...

Was it two separate bookings or a single pnr?

It sounds like when you've booked the new QF flight the info goes to EK but it doesn't delete the info segment for your original flight so it would appear EK don't realise this.

You can't be a noshow for a flight you're no longer booked on and as such your onward flight would not be cancelled.

I wouldn't be too concerned as when you checkin at ADL you'll be checked in all the way.

Thanks ozbeachbabe. it's one PNR ADL - MEL - eK and what you have described is what has happened.

Qantas contacted EK because they can see the duplication too when they looked in the EK system and EK responded that it was a 'reference' rather than an actual booking, even though it says 'confirmed'. But your logic is correct. Let's hope EK apply logic.

I will be WP when I fly so hope they make sure I get there.

So madrooster has gone above and beyond to sort this out. I cannot imagine what might have happened at the airport checkin. I suspect I may have featured in a YouTube clip somewhere, totally distraught.

Everything has now been re-ticketed - it hadn't been ticketed before - and on both Emirates and Qantas all looks hunky dory. New ticket received by email and I think even the seats line up on both sites. Chauffeur bookings had also been messed around with but will be sorted this morning. Now to go print everything off - again.

Might be utilizing madrooster quite a lot more in future as he gets it like a true AFF'er. ;)

Phew, that's a relief then :)

I know! I was thinking we would have been FLoungeless! Quelle dommage!

So in my OC manner I have now been back into EK site, QF site and Finnair site. Checked and rechecked seat allocations - still flaky there but both show row 2, just opposite sides of the plane. Chauffeur Adl - Airport showing up on QF site, then Sin to Hotel at midnight on both sites. Only 1 domestic flight showing in Emirates. Have printed off the only ticket number that is consistent across the three sites.

The flight back seems all good. But will now chuck out everything I printed yesterday so I dont confuse myself.

Boy, do you reckon Grumpy Cat is grumpy. But relieved to make another appearance in the F Lounge.

I also have a ticketing issue with a QFF on-line award booking, but with two EK flights, ADL-DXB-LHR.

Shortly after booking it became clear that the flights hadn't been ticketed, although I could see the booking in my QFF account, and I assumed that the credit card payment had failed. I rang QF and they confirmed that I was correct and reprocessed the payment using the same credit card.

I then selected seats on the EK site and everything looked good, however I didn’t receive the e-ticket. The next day I noticed that the booking no longer appeared in my QFF account. I rang QF and asked if there was a problem, and could he send me the e-ticket, which he said he did while I was on the phone.

Three days later I still can’t see the booking in my QFF account and I haven’t received the e-ticket.

madrooster, could I ask you to have a look at this booking if I PM you the details please?

madrooster sent the following reply to my PM:

Yours is correctly ticketed.

The problem with yours is the person at QF who you spoke to from Auckland, entered [email protected] as the email address. Because that email address was in the PNR when ticketing happened, that's where the e-ticket is going and will continue to go (I just generated one just then and it also went there).

It's actually a bug in QF's system where it doesn't obey the current email address in the PNR when sending itineraries. You will need to hassle QF to see if they can manually generate one for you.

As per the advice, I just rang QF and explained the issue and I have now received the e-ticket twice, one minute apart :). The call lasted about one minute!

Thank you madrooster.
