I have an ANZ card that includes overseas travel insurance. I have met the eligibility criteria. The policy is with QBE and excludes non travellers over the age of 80. My mother in law is 86 and in good health but in the event we have to return to Australia if she becomes ill we are not covered.

Is there a policy that would cover that situation?

Covermore and RACV will cover over 85 year Olds at a price. RACV gives two pricing alternatives, one which doesn't cover pre existing conditions and more expensive one which will cover your existing conditions. Might be different if you were going to US.

Support covermore recommendation.

Hi - I wasn't able to find anyone that covered you for an elderly parent but good luck if you do - think the previous posts were talking about cover for you but I may be wrong

Yes this is about people over 80 who are not travelling. I have since looked at Covermore, Medibank & Yougo which all seem to link back to the same insurance coy and Covermore seems a common link as well. All cover people over 80 and have the same subjective wording about "relevant time" and "liklihood". It looks like Medibank Private at this stage as we get a 10% discount as members.
