QFF award ticket fuel surcharge?

I dont have any QANTAS points and am trying to work out what the fuel surcharges would be for various award tickets. I cant get to the payment page on the QFF site as i dont have enough points and when i check the flights on ITA flight matrix it only lists the departure fee etc not the fuel surcharge which is the big one. What is the easiest way to work out the fuel surcharge and taxes payable when booking a QFF award flight. Looking at both QF and EK flights?

On ITA matrix the fuel surcharge is classified as YQ.

On ITA matrix the fuel surcharge is classified as YQ.

Qantas doesn't (generally) apply fuel surcharges to revenue tickets any more though. Which might explain why the YQ isn't showing on ITA Matrix.

Pele, if you have a particular flight/route in mind, post it on here and I'll check for you.

Been in this situation far too many times, wish they'd follow BA's lead in showing the full cost of both points and taxes/fees in the search results itself.

MH140 in J - MH flights don't show on the Qantas website, but from past experience it should be around $290
