Woolworths gift card thread

..... Ordered enough e-cards....... Realized I forgot my rewards card....

The Woolworths Money app is a good way to manage your Wish eGift cards, if you're not already doing so.

Among other useful things, the Woolworths app (a separate app to the WW Money app) has an option to show your Rewards card. :)

15 stores since the promo started and only a total of 50 visa 1 cards for me. Disappointing. Would like to buy more.

I wonder if anyone has been crazy enough to travel to regional country safeway/woolies stores to procure these cards?

Both of my other locals are now out so looks like I may rack up some ks on the weekend!

Edit: try not to get your egift card pin number wrong when using a self checkout in peak hour. It requires manual intervention if so. Especially 3 times in a row. CSR is not happy.

Also try not to put in wrong amount when part-paying with eWish. Same manual intervention required

The stocard app is also good to have a whole family's cards in one convenient place. Scans well at self-serve too

I do actually use the app. I forgot my orange rewards card.

I still had my temporary card in my email so I was looking like an idiot trying to scan my phone screen
But that didn't work :)

How can you make a profit on the deal when petrol costs and time costs become and issue?

$105.95 card costs $100.65 after 5% discount (EGC)
Assume 1% cost of 'inception' = $1.60 per 2,000 woolworths rewards points

As WWR points that's $8.40 profit per card
As Qantas points that's 0.2c/p cost to purchase

10 cards per hour is $84/hr (far more than i get paid) as WWR
41 cards is a PER-SYD/MEL J flight (retail ~$2k) as QF points. Even valuing the J flight at $500, you're looking at over $100/h net benefit if 10 cards per hour

Perhaps the staff are picking up on your lack of respect shown here and in other posts. ;) Personally, I find being friendly seems to work.

Snip Like the coles staff who said to me - "Next time go to a bigger (manned) checkout, I dont want to have to approve these next time" -Screw you hoe go do your job.

Put STOCARD into your favourite app store. I'm a fan although the Coles Flybuys cardreaders sometimes need a bit of juggling

if you have a samsung phone, the Samsung Pay app actually stores your cards and when you scan a loyalty card at the self serve it will show the barcode image but also sends a signal to the scanner. apparently it works on every scanner, even old ones. i've had no problems ever at coles or woolworths.
