They should just use the J toilets like everyone else in Y

There are some things I think to myself, It doesnt need to be said. Because, duh, it makes sense! Like urinating the the hold of an aircraft.

But apparently it does need to be said.

Kinda like when we were at Angkor Wat last year and saw a tourist pissing on the temple. You would think you dont need to tell people not to do that, but apparently you do.

Whilst it is something I have never heard of, and is disgusting, it does make you wonder what actual arrangements are in place for them. They cannot come on to the aircraft, so where are facilities located around the bays?

It is something that all techies must manage when offsite.

Is this really a problem? I can well imagine baggage handlers in some nations paid poorly and worked hard, seeing the dark and private corners in the hold as convenient, uh, conveniences, but I also see containers and pallets being loaded in the rain, where surely they would drain and drip into the hold. There must be some sort of ability to handle a few litres of liquid.

I imagine that at some gates - and particularly remote stands where passengers board by bus - that the closest toilets would be quite some distance away. There would be some pressure to just find a corner out of sight, cut loose, and then get on with the job.

If BA sees this as a problem, and there may well be corrosion issues if low-paid workers keep pissing on their expensive aircraft, why not just install a standpipe or something?

That was my thought too. I'm sure BA has a rather extreme contract with them and if they need to go to the toilet and the facilities are located far away, they probably sacrifice some pay. That's what I would assume anyway, that would make me consider staying where I am. It's all a symptom of cost cutting/savings by higher-ups I reckon.

You are equating urine with water?
Only in a gross sense. Not sure about corrosion, but I'm betting the smell would be unpleasant.

As for liquid, there must be some sort of drainage system in cargo holds to cope with cargo wet from rain. Having even a few litres sloshing about can't be good.

Come off it! The are millions of jobs in the world where you have to "hold on" for an hour or two.

I would say that they are just pathetic if this is really a problem, but I suspect the issue is actually a non-issue and someone was just padding out yet another slow news day.
