I have an upcoming SQ tix which I purchased at a good price through Bestjet. For me, they have been doing the best price on SQ itineraries when I've needed.

The next tix I have is BNE/SIN/MNL // CEB/SIN/BNE

For the SIN/MNL I'd prefer to drop that leg only and buy a 5J tix SIN/CRK. That flight saves me about 6 hours and is the same price as the taxi anyway.

Last time I asked Bestjet they just said $500 change fee prior to departure. Basically they are not interested which I can accept as my travel plans rarely change.

Anyone had experiences dropping a sector with SQ after departure. The change would need to be made direct with SQ as Bestjet are not responsive for this.

I would be on the 9:10am service from BNE and want to drop the 7:30pm SIN/MN flight.

Any experiences with doing this?

Dropping a leg without going through the proper process may result in the proceeding legs being cancelled by the carrier due to the no-show.

I tried to change the last 2 flights for a friend to upgrade her and it meant I would lose the final flights and have to book new flights as a new cost.

I was afraid of that. That's what the fare rules say.

When I dropped some legs off a recent Cathay booking, they just levied the change fee.

I'm just going to let this one go and the person can travel as booked.
