dumb question: i was just entering my friend's ff number into our itinerary. It's a 10 digit number beginning with 19, whereas mine is only a 7 digit number. is the 19 number still valid?

Yes ... Many 19.... prefix numbers were introduced around the introduction of Woolworths every day rewards with its free QFF membership.

As the program has grown so has the amount of numbers. Mine is only a 6 digit membership number

6 digits here (unless you include the leading 0, which doesn't seem to make much difference)

of course those of us who have had memberships for a long time will have the lower numbers.

I remember when a friend gave me her FF# (for gifting Gold) and I saw how long it was and wasn't sure it was legit! LOL

Interestingly, some later new memberships have numbers of lesser magnitude ...

Mine is 6 digits. I was joined up in 1995 by my mother when I was 7 years old. Alas I've only accrued approximately 1,800 lifetime status credits (most being in the last 24 months).
