if the seatmap shows 1x2x1 yes, if 2x2x2 no
You mean if seat map shows 2x2x2 it is NON Refurbished with Skybed Mark 1 seats vresus 1x2x1 being new business suite.
if the seatmap shows 1x2x1 yes, if 2x2x2 no
if the seatmap shows 1x2x1 refurbished, if 2x2x2 its EBG/EBL

I'm not happy to do an overnight flight with such a rubbish seat.
Looks like I will have to pay a change fee and go on a different flight.
I really dislike Qantas, and paying for a premium airline and getting an angle seat on an overnight flight is beyond a first world problem.

Well if you hate them because of angled seats I guess you hate Emirates and lots of other airlines for same feature. If you dont like Qantas then DONT fly them. Simples
I had thought (wrongly) that Qantas had upgraded all their A330's to the new layout and had read very good reviews about it.
Don't think they've ever advertised all seats fully flat. Same as the 747s with OEB/OJM
Originally it was 30 aircraft by mid-2016, then became 28 when EBH/EBI left by end-2016, and then EBG/EBL didn't get done. I only assume it comes down to leasing issues on those aircraft - no point refurbing if the lessor is playing hard ball
They definitely did advertise all A330 as having new J class. Media Releases - QANTAS UNVEILS NEW A330 BUSINESS SUITES WITH WORLD-FIRST SEAT RECLINE FROM TAKE OFF TO LANDING - Qantas News Room
They didn't advertise all 747 though.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but that press release only states the start date?

You do understand that the non-refurbed aircraft have the Skybed 1 - that is, a flat bed which is at a slight angle to the floor? It is not just a seat that reclines.
There are weight issues with the 2 A330s that haven't been reconfigured. The new seats are a lot heavier
