Insurance for my one month trip was just under half the annual amount, so a no brainer for me.

I've noticed it to a point of non-renewal of TID. I used to always renew as a matter of course, but now I've taken a closer look at my CC insurance inclusions and have decided between the cards, I'm pretty much covered for my day to day needs. If necessary, I may just buy a stand alone policy but if needed, the annual probably wouldn't have included the necessary bits in any case.
 
when you tell firends you flew SYD _ SIN _ FRA _ JFK and they ask why and you say you wanted to try one of the longest first class flights with SQ

Or when you tell friends you're flying SYD - BKK - HND - LHR just so you can try ANA F for the first time.

It's sometimes hard to explain to people that flying at the pointy end helps to make the travel part of the holiday into a fun part of the holiday.

Just reacquainted my love of Dom with TG F on the way home a few days back. Is it wrong to think Krug is expensive vinegar :oops:

I do wish more airlines would stock VCLGD. Fondly remember knocking back a bottle of it TPE to BK last year, needing a power nap a much concentration to make it to my hotel after landing :D The Eva staff were able to refil my glass my glass before i could say no...

Absolutely! I've just been telling people that I'm away in early December because I'm flying SYD-HKG-AKL-CHC, because I wanted to try Cathay's new A359. My parents are flying directly from SYD to CHC. :) Sensible (boring) souls. haha :D

possibly due to posting while enjoying the spoils of my recent duty free of some Mount Gay XO rum. happy to use my 3 amex cards to score $15 cash back each time.
 
You know you're taking it all too far when, as I did yesterday, you go up to a complete stranger at an airport and ask them if it's OK to touch their P1 Q-tags, because you've never seen them IRL before. :shock::D

When you spend hours and hours researching airlines, flights, connections and a/c type and then spend hours and hours and hours to try to find the reg no. of the aircraft chosen to establish the type fitout.
 
Aren't the q-tags FF member-specific? Besides buying them off eBay is sorta cheating. It's like putting a Rolls hood ornament on a Hyundai or Skoda :)
