So i had a left over voucher for $42 from Christmas last year.
I went to use it for some flights i planned SYD - AYQ then DRW - SYD but the vouchers booking engine doesnt have multicity capabilities.
Call the WP line and was told it can only be done over the phone and incurs a $40 fee per person. I asked if that still applied since i couldnt do it through the website and the answer was YES.

Anyone have similar experience with multicity on vouchers?
Is this a case for Hang Up and Try Again to find an agent who will waive the fees or get over it and get another voucher for 2 one way fares.

Officially, vouchers cannot be used for multi-city bookings. That an agent would look into doing so for you, albeit with an assistance fee, is already a bonus.

I would just purchase another voucher and book the two flights as separate sectors.

This isn't a multi-city booking, it's an open-jaw and vouchers can certainly be used for them. I've did this myself via the call centre and was not charged the booking fee as unable to do online.

Just book 2 one-ways for the open jaw.

I'd say your status is the reason you could book an open jaw over the phone using gift vouchers.

Thats for the feedback and help team.

I ended up getting another voucher and getting 2 one way fares.
eminer is right they are only for one way or return fares. Multicity isnt allowed.

QF have always been very clear in the voucher T&C that multicity was not permitted (I suspect this is a technical issue tbh)

No it isn't. Two separate bookings done, one of them was not a Premium desk agent and advised both times that open-jaw bookings were allowed on vouchers.

The last booking I made was SYD-LHR and then GLA-SYD for two passengers on a voucher.

I concur with PF - I have done an open jaw using a voucher over the phone, the fee was suggested but waived as soon as I mentioned it couldn't be done online.

I guess its luck of the draw.
As mentioned i specifically asked since i couldnt do it online and was told the fee would still apply.

Sorry to bring this up again.. but a follow up question:

Looking to fly BNE-SIN-USM and then BKK-SIN-BNE in April. Want to use a voucher to do this - and one ways are obviously a few hundred more expensive each way.

Whats my best bet? Is the best bet to book BNE-SIN return with the voucher online then same day call up and ask to add the SIN-USM leg and the BKK-SIN leg? Or try do it all over the phone?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks :)

Your best chance would be to try and get a consultant to book the open jaw using gift voucher.

I wouldn't try and book a BNE-SIN return online and then adding sectors to it. That would be an expensive exercise.
