A couple of questions from an AAdvantage newbie

I was just checking my AA award booking, on AA.com
Previously, I could see the booking, and print it out on a single page format, and that page would contain the flights, and ticket numbers (plus also a code for scanning at check in kiosk).
However, now, I can't seem to find the ticket numbers at all.
Plus printing it results in two pages, and also no scanning code.

Any ideas?

I had only just started thinking about Alaska and thought I would have a quick sqwizz at AA. I saw availability CBR - MEL - SYD - LAX - SEA - ANC one way 82,500 miles and AUD 158 for next July all in J.

Even though I have not even begun to plan Alaska, I thought it was a good oppo to nab a 5 day hold and work what to do next. Anyone see a flaw in this 'plan'? :D

I see that to get ANC to Kodiak, it's about USD120. Maybe then think about the marine highway back.

(This leaves me with an orphan amount of AA miles of 34K. Are they usable?)

Yes, 40K will get you Business between Oz/Japan one-way. 26K can be purchased (currently - no promo) for USD855.

Wait for a promo, which are regular, before purchasing and you can cut that cost by maybe 20%-35%.

AA site says, "something went wrong", Very communicative. I get that when searching for BLI-CBR and YVR-CBR, but SEA-CBR is OK. What's wrong with those 2 searches, surely YVR is OK isn't it?

EDIT. Could not get through to the Fiji desk, so called US reservations. They said the QF sectors not loaded yet. Maybe the Alaska Air not loaded either.

I can see a QF J DFW - SYD, but AA does not have it on the 4 days QF does. Is there anything that can be done with AA with that? :(

Re: Couple of AAdvantage questions from a newbie to it

If you can see it on Expert Flyer then you can generally book it with AAdvantage.

Re: Couple of AAdvantage questions from a newbie to it

Thanks for the PM - I checked E/F and is returning "No" seats on the day in question.

My Wife's QF NB account is showing no availability.

AA.com is showing no availability.

My QF WP account is showing 2 seats availability.
