Thanks for peoples comments on my request re J and F to Manchester.

I have decided to take the plunge and travel F - first time for SQ.

I have a day flight out of Sydney on an A380 (Suite), and the rest of the trip will be 777-300-er's.

Couple of quick questions.

1) Do SQ provide PJ's for first overnight on 777-300er?

2) I'm gluten free, so I assume book the cook won't work and just see what they provided on the flight. Any one with experience as Gluten Free on SQ F - love to hear your comments.

Thanks

PJs to all R/F pax on flts >7hrs regardless of flying time - PJs to all R/F pax on flts >4hrs dep 18:00 to 06:00 - unless a recent change I am not aware of. (Pretty sure that is correct)

Due to my over the top appetite I have zero knowledge of glutton free meals.

That' a like from me Cruiser

I did clarify this with SQ back in Aug 2014 and to best my knowledge this has not changed:

Sleeper suits and toiletry kits are presented to Suite and First Class passengers depending on the departure time and block time. Amenities are handed out for day flights (departing between 0600-1800 hours) with a block time of 7 hours or more, including flights from Singapore to Tokyo. Amenities are also handed out for night flights (departing between 1800-0600 hours) with a block time of 3.5 hours or more, where the arrival time is past 0030 hours.

Tokyo is clearly included - or should have been - bc did you ask where are my 'Jimmy Jarmas'?

Nope, still getting the hang of this F thing. Figured if they had them, theyd have been offered...

Book the cook no, but pre-order your gluten free. They'll do the best they can. But I've had indian vegetarian that wasn't so crash hot. So manage your expectations!

Amenity kit you will use day or night, PJs not so much for everyone. So just ask if you need them.

I like the Indian vegetarian meals and they have mostly been OK. But coming back SIN-MEL last time I was seated (in Y) beside an Indian couple + baby, and the couple got their Indian vegetarian meals and I didn't, although I had definitely booked one for that flight. I was eventually presented with a tray that had the right main meal, but none of the right side-dishes that I could see on their trays. Put together in a hurry from whatever they had left-over, I think. Didn't think it was worth complaining because at that stage of the journey back from LHR I mainly wanted sleep. I suppose that next to them I clearly didn't look Indian, so someone must have thought it couldn't be the right meal for me.
