Thanks for the heads up. I missed the last sale and was holding out hope of a new sale. Booked BKK-KUL-MEL return for $1500. Not the $1050 that was there 3 weeks ago, but still good!

Also noted CGK-KUL-MEL return for $1150... Late August, returning mid September.

Interesting that the Christmas period is also included (according to Google). Though crediting to QF on the Australian legs earns "flexible economy" rates??? Note that BKK-KUL-CMB is also very inexpensive and earns QF 120 SC each way.

Happy wandering

Fred

Nice typo in today's email (prices are THB ex BKK):

London should be THB66430 according to the website, still very good.

Snagged a PNH/KULx//MEL/PNH in J for $1,247 USD. 23 Oct-14 Nov. Z bucket.
Looks like sale finished yesterday. Website today shows $2,245 USD for same routing.
j Cabin loads light when I booked yesterday. Cheers, PJ

Nice one! Shame it's finished – I was hoping to book one last trip BKK-MEL-BKK (but have booked out my whole year in MH J now so wasn't sure when I'd be able to get back to BKK!).

Oh well! Great deal anyway.

That's brilliant! What crazy low fares. It'd be nice to be based in Thailand right now.

I've got BKK-MEL-HKT pricing out at under $1200, which gets me home from BKK mid-October, but not sure I actually want to go to HKT?

That said, if it's the difference of $200 (plus the return fare back to MEL) then maybe I should just suck it up and go to coughet for the night. ;)

Travel on this needs to be completed in 30 days, otherwise it prices out around $2200-$2500 return. Change fee is THB2000. Does anyone know what would happen to the pricing if I changed the return to 30+ days after completing the first legs? I'm expecting the whole itinerary would be repriced, but hoping not...

Usually you'd entirely forfeit the return if you wanted to push it beyond the 30 days and need to buy a new ticket. Basically what happens when the fare is a max of 30 days is the ticket coupons have a 'not valid after' date set to 30 days after your first departure. If the coupon wouldn't be valid, then you can't exchange it either.

If you start at SIN, it seems to remain at $1400~ no matter how long the trip.

MEL-KUL-PEK for $2,300 return in J isn't bad either.

One way MH J - HKT-KUL-SYD/MEL is just over AUD 600.00.

HKT has a brand new international terminal.

I'm not sure if INT-INT connections are easy or even possible. Does anyone know?

I went through there last week, not connecting though, and it was the worst arrival experience I can recall. Was waiting for 1.5 hours at immigration, queue snaked through duty free 21.30 arrival. Departures wasn't much better, had to queue to get bag xrayed before being able to check in, pretty standard in Thailand but 30 min there then 20 min in the priority line just to check in with HLO was a bit rich.
The personal escort through customs and security all the way to the lounge was a nice touch though :)

Can't recall seeing any transfer signage in response to your question, sorry.
