QF reducing capacity growth

Understood. And not disputed. Though your statement that all the public service is Canberra based is wrong. Only around 40 per cent are.

In the context that we're talking about Canberra and comparing politicians and their election entourage and the media versus Public service, I think it is pretty clear that my comment was only about all the public servants in Canberra.

It seems entirely reasonable that an election will have significant affect on demand for flights. politicians and hangers on won't be sitting for a number of weeks. Public service travel will be cut back even compared to the reduced levels that you highlight.

Perhaps we're in agreement after all. All public servants in Canberra, are in Canberra. Can't argue with that. :)

Now if we could just start weeding out a few thousand of them..

It's a simple, populist saving - inevitable one or both sides announce public service efficiencies (staff cuts).
