Just received a double points offer, book by 5 April, no doubt you did too. Have to make a booking for May, the double points would be nice but double SCs would be a lot handier.

Just wondering, IIRC double points offers have been followed by targeted double SC offers. Is that your recollection too?

Also IIRC I have tended to receive targeted bonus SC offers toward the end of my status year, is that your experience too. I am about to start mine, so possibly less likely to be targeted.

Cheers skip.

Hubby received that offer too (but not me!). He achieved qantas gold during our recent trip and could possibly make a run fit platinum (which they have sent email encouraging him to do). However double points be good as he has maylasia trip in May, then back to South Africa August, neither of which I had booked. We use our points for upgrades in the long haul flights. Happy to have had business class upgrades with points for both of us on our South African trip fen/mar and especially happy to have been able to choose 2E/F on way home! Yea first real point end!! QF 64!

I'm happy enough to take double points, but prefer double SC's.
If I'm going to take an unplanned flight, it needs to give me a real advantage.
Double SC's right now might encourage me to look at trying to retain WP.
Otherwise it's SG for me next membership year.

Qantas don't offer double SCs anymore.

The offers have been 50% extra SCs in recent years.

I have both the double points and the 50% SC offer at the moment (until the 2nd when the sc runs out). Yes, I am nooking EVERYTHING. :-)

I didn't think you receive both promotions for the one flight. They usually only give you the promotion you signed up for first.( need to study terms and conditions)

I seem to recall reading something along those lines in the T&Cs of previous promotions.

Mmm, so looks like I wasn't targeted. Might take the points and run :)
