Turkish Airlines IST-SYD pushed back

AusBT reports that the Turkish Airlines' plan to fly to Sydney has been pushed back.

From reading it - was the intention to have fifth freedom flights SYD-SIN // SYD-BKK // SYD-CGK ?

Don't know what the choice would be of those, but it has to stop somewhere if TK wants to actually have passengers on the planes. I'd assume that SIN or BKK would be the favourites since they are *A hubs.

There are already 5th freedom flights from SYD-SIN (BA) and SYD-BKK (EK).

Wasn't CGK the "hot tip" but the runway issues at CGK with the 777 mean it can't do the return leg (CGK-IST) due to pavement loading issues at MTOW?
