The view or two from my "office"

re: The view from my "office"

Headed from Bremer Bay to Pemberton early today via the Porongurups. This is a relatively small granitic residual south of the Stirlings, but sufficiently large to create microclimates that favour wine production.

Backlit and so a little gloomy looking east from Mt Barker, but gives an idea of the landform.

Weighing Chardonnay from fungicide trial plots in the back of the ute lab at Pemberton - and dumping the grapes (some would probably say that's what should always happen to Chardonnay ;):)!).

This photo goes back a bit, but this big fella decided our verandah was a good place to perch after he stirred the dog up.koala 1.jpg

Don't you love it when you leave home at some stupid hour ... only to fly over it hours later.
