Hi All,

I'm new to KF and looking for J seats for the family.
I'm over the non-availability of QF seats and joining the non-QF party on this.

I have about 300k points (altitude transfer) and so does the wife.
If I transfer them to KF, can I transfer them easily to one account to make the booking?

On a side note, any tips for booking child (under 12) seats through the website, I get an error each time.

Thanks.

You will have to do them separately. The only way to get them from her account to yours is to load her points in to her velocity account then transfer them to your Velocity account. Then move them to your KF account - at this stage you'll lose at 1.35: 1. That's a bit harsh

In addition:
Mrs D has a KF account and I only transfer an exact flight's worth of points e.g. 80,750 for a J to Europe, at any one time. That way her account is always at zero.
Any spare points in her account, I wash through Velocity to mine
My advice is to make yours the main account for these spare points.

If anyone has better suggestions I would love to learn - this site is about sharing

.

No. But as you already have large stashes of points each, and as I assume that you wife will also keep accruing, why not each get a KF account?

Note too that you can book one way awards.

So with 3 of you that you can each book 3 one ways in J. One account to book going over, and one for the return. You should already have enough points for this to say Europe (15% discount if you book online).

Using 2 KF account to book for 3 seat is easier. IF you use 1 KF account and put 2 adults + 1 child , you will have nightmare to find saver awards.

3 months ago: I use 2 KF account to book 3 seats J Sydney-NRT return. My tips: Open 2 different browser ( each KF account ) search for the seats you want, once you found it. Book it same time, Dont wait!

Maybe I'm misreading this or reading more into it but a possible SQ website 'Glitch' loophole?

Definitely not Glitch. All booking are confirmed. I also rang KF to make sure, and ALL good to go :)

As an aside I would never ring to see if something is a glitch on SQ (or indeed on any airline or hotel). If it tickets, it tickets!

If you ask they may say no. I have taken advantage of a number of SQ glitches and have for example flown in F at J points several times including one for 3 pax at once. I have also had for example several flights in Europe on BA in J for two for zero points

On the 3 tickets in J, I have not had a need of late but I have scored 3 Js to from Europe. SQ seem to vary on this.

However TWO KF accounts provides all sorts of flexibility. ie there can be several flights per day on the route you want and so can book a family of 5 in J by leavinga few hours apart. When booking later I have also sometimes flown 2 pax one day and then 2 pax on the next in J (one parent with each child).

They way I read it is that the SQ website says there is a total of 1 Saver Redemption ticket available, but by opening 2 browser windows under 2 different accounts and checking out at the same time he scored 2 tickets?
