Travel Agents.. Mistakes and who pays?

I like the skyliner option, then yamanote to my hotel. Though I'd prefer to arrive in HND tbh.
I like HND more then NRT as well, but it depends where you're staying. It can be faster to get to some parts of Tokyo from NRT and Skyliner, then it is to get there from HND.

I use e mail in all my discussions and it has served me well with TA and also other purchases over the years.

We are flying into HND but taking snow bus to Hakuba. No issues there. Its the return journey to NRT that's being the bugger. TA has told us the they are trying "upgrade" from limo bus to "shared limo van?" direct to hotel. Assuming these exist, its certainly suitable but the anecdotal evidence here suggests otherwise. Its cutting it fine certainly, as I still dont have the vouchers etc for the rest of the trip and have work based travel coming later in the week and next week before we go. We will see how it all goes i guess.

The inbound journey from NRT probably would be easier than the outbound by the sounds.

I am certainly getting an email prepared to send to AFTA (for those that don't know they handle ombudsmen type complaints for registered travel agents) regarding the failure to get sorted what we have paid for.

we had issues with this bus. It was std config and not the sleeper 1-2 config. Got ripped off I guess the recession there is really biting. Never again.

is there snow there now as there wasn't around Christmas. It was absolute pandemonium with all the locals and lack of organization, ski tickets that required daily stamping etc

Thanks for the info about the bus. I wasn't expecting anything special, kinda like the Bangkok to coughet busses. Nothing special. So i guess I am prepared there. And yes I belive there is a fair bit of snow now. There was 40cm last weekend and some predicted for next week. Heard its not a "great" season. But should be good enough.

An update. TA has provided us with a voucher for a transfer direct to the hotel. Using green tomato. Lets see how it goes
